Paying in MAD or USD: how to avoid conversion fees

Smiley Hoster bills exclusively in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), taxes included. If your card or PayPal account works in US dollars (USD), the conversion does not come from Smiley Hoster, but from your bank or PayPal: here is where possible fees come from.

1. A single currency shown and charged

Smiley Hoster's prices are shown in MAD, on every plan page and in every language of the site: there is no currency selector. The amount charged therefore always matches the MAD amount shown when you order, whether you pay by PayPal (card or balance) or bank transfer.

2. Where a conversion happens

If your card or PayPal account is denominated in USD, the card issuer or PayPal converts the MAD amount into USD, at its own exchange rate, at the time of payment. An international bank transfer follows the same principle: the conversion and any fees depend on your bank, not on Smiley Hoster.

3. A simulated example

To limit this gap, compare the rate applied by your bank or shown by PayPal before confirming a payment, and check whether your bank charges conversion or foreign-payment fees.
