Hostinger's sale-preparation article discusses commercial offers. From a hosting customer's perspective, an included benefit also needs a plan for what happens after its opening period, particularly when that benefit is a domain name.
1. Check what the offer actually includes
Smiley Hoster's website, checked on October 9, 2026, states that a .ma or .com domain is included for the first year with an annual server offer: shared cPanel hosting, managed WordPress, SSD VPS or a dedicated server. It states that the domain renews at the public rate the following year.
Match the full domain name and extension to the order summary. Confirm that the selected hosting term qualifies. Do not extend the offer to every extension or assume that it covers several domain names.
If the domain already exists at another provider, ask how that case is handled. A transfer and a new registration are different situations for your estimate, even when the name you want to use is the same.
2. Give the domain its own budget record
Create a separate record even if the confirmed offer makes its initial charge zero. Include the full name, covered dates, applicable renewal rate, due date and person responsible for checking payment.
Look up the renewal price for the relevant extension and record when you checked it. A promotional registration price is not a substitute for a renewal quote.
Keep the hosting and domain dates separate as well. Copy each from the available service documents rather than assuming they end on the same day. If a price is still unknown, label it “to confirm.” A blank or zero amount can misleadingly suggest that the domain remains included indefinitely.
This separate record also helps another team member understand which domain supports the website and where its next expense belongs.
3. Match the renewal to the right service
When the renewal document arrives, check the full domain name, period, amount and any additional items. A single invoice total is not enough if the document also includes hosting or another service.
Ask about differences from the recorded estimate before closing the check. After payment, retain the reference and verify the newly covered period in your service records.
Your hosting budget may stay unchanged while the domain budget increases after the initial included year. Tracking the two separately makes that change understandable and avoids incorrectly treating every difference in the combined bill as a hosting price rise.
